This utility is for developers building beacon/iBeacon applications, to make testing more convenient. When first building an a beacon-enabled app, you may not have a box of Estimote beacons or other beacon hardware laying around to help you test, but you've probably got access to two or more iOS devices. This app turns your device into a beacon, or can act as a beacon locator helping you test and debug. Not a developer? Not a problem. This app is useful for quality assurance testing (Is there an issue with a beacon, device detection, bluetooth, or the app being tested?). If you're on the business-side of the house and trying to make a case for beacons, this can be used as a demo to help stakeholders "get" it. We like bacon! Who doesn't? So we named the app Beacon Bits to watch people call it Bacon Bits. We even bacon-fied the app logo. Requires an iOS device supporting Bluetooth LE and iOS 7.1+. Beacon Bits is powered by ContextHub, a platform that leverages sensors in your iOS device and around you to make apps smarter.
